Founder and Chief of Research Area<\/strong><\/p>\n

Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Salerno, he carries out research in the field of Computational Intelligence to support decision-making processes. He teaches Software Design, Decision Models and Augmented Reality. He is the author of more than 120 scientific publications on “Semantic Web”, “Distributed Architectures for Knowledge Management and Discovery”, “Computational Methods for Situation Awareness” and “Data-driven Decision Support Systems”. He is currently focusing his study and research activities on the definition of approaches based on Three-Way Decisions, Rough Set Theory and their extensions. He has taken part to several national and European research projects. Recently he has been the scientific responsible of the POR Campania project called Health Management Systems. He is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. He is the scientific head of the CoDaS laboratory at the University of Salerno, which focuses on teaching and research activities in the Computational and Data Science field.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Salerno, he carries out research in the field of Computational Intelligence and Knowledge Extraction to support decision making. He is author of more than 60 publications (Fuzzy Decision Making, Knowledge Extraction and Management, Situation and Context Awareness, Semantic Web, Information Retrieval, Service Oriented Architecture, Ontology Learning). He has taken part to the scientific committees of several international conferences, is on the board of international journals Neuorocomputing (Associate Editor in Chief), IJMAI (Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence, Associate Editor) for which he carried out numerous editorial activities. He has participated in several national (e.g., Leonardo 4.0, PerMedNet, etc.) and European (e.g., CPS4EU, etc.) funded research initiatives. He participates as scientific advisor in several business initiatives, including, Trovimap PTE. LTD. (registration no. 201400380D), Think Glue LTD, iCube Digital Ventures s.r.l. He is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society.
